I’m pleased and honored to announce that two of my poems have been selected for publication in Riprap Literary Journal, vol. 39, forthcoming this May! I’m so excited to have work selected to print in a publication that has meant to much to me over the last five years.
LSPMAG and Indicia Lit had a stellar turnout for our amazing artists at our first reading event held at Stories Books & Cafe. The rain didn’t keep the poets and writers away, and made it a nice moody atmosphere for the audience to enjoy.
Our readers included Alina Nguyen, Alexis Rhone Fancher, Laryssa Wirstiuk, Laura Picklesimer, John C. Nelson, Joseph Hernandez, and Natasha Archer.
Event producers and collaborators and editors AJ Urquidi, Marcus Clayton, Toren Wallace, Megan Ranger, and Julia Gibson all made this event delightful. And special thanks to Lara Bennett and Alexis Fancher for lending their talents as well.

I’m so thrilled to announce that my poems and interview are now available to read online on the Puerto Del Sol’s Black Voices Series blog. In the interview I talk about my writing in relation to nature, urban pastoral, diaspora, and music. I hope you enjoy!
Works in Progress
Currently working on producing a chapbook and full-length collection of poems. Along with teaching, as well as editing lipstickparty mag, I’m hoping to have a completed manuscript by November. Stay tuned…
